Why This Work Matters to Me

Caring for my mom through the end of her life changed me in a way I will never forget. Being there for her showed me how meaningful it can be to simply have someone beside you-someone who offers comfort, compassion, a listening heart, and a sense of peace, and reassurance of knowing you’re not alone.

After my mom passed, I felt called to offer that same care to others. It is an honor to support individuals and their families during this deeply personal time.

As a mother comforts her child, I will also comfort you.

—Isaiah 66:13

Compassionate Support

During times of change, uncertainty, or end-of-life, it can be difficult to know what you need—or even what questions to ask. I offer a calm, compassionate presence for you and your family, creating space to talk, process what is happening, and focus on what matters most.

Personalized Guidance

Every person and every family experiences this time differently. I’ll meet you where you are, listen to what matters most to you, and offer thoughtful guidance based on your needs, concerns, and wishes.

How I Can Support You

A Listening Presence

Sometimes you simply need a safe place to talk. I give the space to ask questions, share fears or concerns, process what you’re carrying, or simply be heard without judgement or expectation.

Support for the Family

Caring for someone you love can bring difficult decisions, changing emotions, and moments of uncertainty. I provide compassionate support for family members and caregivers as they navigate this deeply personal experience together.

Comfort Through Uncertainty

You may not know what comes next or what you’re supposed to be feeling. I can help you slow things down, talk through your concerns, and find a little more clarity and steadiness in the moment.

Training & Education

I believe there is always more to learn when it comes to supporting someone through the end-of-life journey. Continuing education helps me deepen my understanding while bringing greater compassion, awareness, and presence to the individuals and families I serve.

My training includes palliative care, trauma-informed support, dementia care, and grief and loss support. Each has helped me better understand the many emotions, changes, and challenges that can come with serious illness, caregiving, dying and loss.

My role is not to provide medical care or counseling, but to walk alongside individuals and families— offering a calm presence, a listening ear, gentle guidance, and support for what matters most to them.

Presence. Compassion. Dignity.

Dementia & Grief Support

Dementia can bring many kinds of loss, often long before a person reaches the end of life. Families may find themselves grieving changes in memory, communication, independence, relationships, and the life they once knew together.

A Peaceful Presence offers gentle support for individuals and families navigating these changes. Whether you are adjusting to a diagnosis, caring for someone you love, experiencing anticipatory grief, or simply feeling overwhelmed by what lies ahead, you do not have to navigate it all alone.

Support may include a listening presence, companionship, caregiver support, help with difficult conversations, legacy and remembrance work, and space to honor the emotions that come with change and loss.

There is no "right" way to move through grief. Sometimes what matters most is simply having someone willing to walk beside you.
